Recently, an ancient tomb discovered in Huludao City, Liaoning province has been recognized as the largest tomb of the Yan Kingdom during the Warring States period in the northern region of the Great Wall.

The Liaoning Institute of Cultural Relic Archaeology launched a cultural relic exploration and archaeological excavation of the ancient tomb in East Dazhangzi Village in April.

After analyzing the unearthed pottery as well as the construction style of tomb passages and coffins, experts confirmed that this large tomb was built by the Yan Kingdom during the Warring States period.
