Recently, the Border River solid ice channel project from Heihe, China to Blagoveshchensk, Russia has been finished. According to the staff's introduction, the “Border River solid ice channel” from Heihe to Blagoveshchensk port project has an overall length of 650 meters. It stretches across the Chinese-Russian Border River. The main river pontoon is composed of 10 sections, with thousand ton barges that begin and end the connection. The design has a single motor vehicle weight of no more than 50 tons. It is equipped with ships, tug and power generating equipment and other auxiliary facilities.
