The Hot Sea is located 10.5 kilometers to the south of the city of Tengchong and its total area is about eight square kilometers. The Hot Sea, which is in the heat center of the county's geothermal area, has the best scenery, highest water temperature and largest spring water amount in the county. It has earned the good name of "A Flood of Hot Sea" and is one of the most important scenic spots in China's national-class geothermal and volcanic scenic areas.
