Oscar-winning actress Sissy Spacek received the 2,443rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday. "The first time I came toHollywood, I walked around and found the Walk of Fame and the stars of my favorite celebrities," Spacek said. "I imagined what it would be like to have a star." The 61-year-old Sissy Spacek has had six Oscar nominations. She is an American actress and singer, winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as country star Loretta Lynn in the 1980s’ movie “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” She is best known for her role as a shy, troubled high school senior with telekinetic powers in the horror movie “Carrie.” Her latest movie “The Help” is to be released in 10 days. |
