The Harbin International Beer Festival 2011 opened on June 30th with the theme of “Propose a toast on the bank of Songhua River; Intoxicated in the Summer City”. It puts on a 12-day beer carnival banquet for tourists from home and abroad.

On June 30th from 14:00 to 15:30, the carriage cruise was held in the Central Street. Carriages with a style from the Dark Ages were full of flowers, beauties and ancient beer tubs, cruising in the hundred-year-old street accompanied by the puppet and cartoon band. It played an overture for the opening ceremony of the beer festival.

On June 30th at 20:00, The Harbin International Beer Festival 2011 was officially opened. This beer festival will focus on extending beer culture. The committee will show the materials and procedures of brewing. Besides, the committee also introduced “carnival on water” owning to the park approaching the Songhua River. “Water Carnival” lies in the west of Beer Festival Park with a total area of 30 thousand square kilometers. 3 million yuan has been invested on equipment. The amusement programs include water rock climbing, riding bicycles on water, water trampoline, dabble slide, motorboat, dabble warship and other amusement projects. Also available are bungee jumping, outer space circle and other amusement facilities.
