    Zhang Shuguang, former deputy chief engineer of China's Ministry of Railways (MOR) has been removed from office and placed under investigation over alleged "severe violation of discipline", the ministry said Tuesday.

    Zhang is now under the investigation of the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on suspicion of "severe violation of discipline", the ministry said.

    Zhang has been removed from the posts as MOR deputy chief engineer and director of the transportation department of the MOR, the ministry said.
