China made a historic breakthrough in winter sports as it claimed five gold medals, two silver medals and four bronze medals at the Vancouver Games, ranking 7th in the overall medal tally. Worth mentioning is that the athletes who created the impressive records in the Chinese Winter Olympic Team are almost all from Heilongjiang. Except athlete Zhou Yang who got a gold medal in the women鈥檚 1500-meter short track skating and gold medal in the women鈥檚 3000-meter short track skating was from Jilin, other medal winners are all from Heilongjiang.
