The first phase of the Harbin Metro project has an investment of 2.04 billion yuan. 17 out of 18 planned stations have already seen construction started. Until now, 40% of the civil engineering projects have been completed. The main bodies of the 5 stations including The Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University and Harbin Meter Factory have been completed. The Harbin Metro project was restarted in March 1st; Harbin speeds up to enter the metro times.

The metro economy will bring new development and opportunities for industries including real estate, mechanism, building materials, communication, and advertising. Experts agree that along the metro line there will be a relatively well-developed area of real estate and merchant trade will increase the comprehensive value of this area.
