There are 5252 collections in the museum. Two of them are at the first national level of cultural relics, seven were at second level, and one hundred and ninety-eight are at third level. There were three national heritage conservation units, Tazicheng site in Liaotai Zhou, one of the most northern Jinpuyu Road Old City and Great Wall Gold sector trench sites which were protected in the Middle Ages. These three cultural relics show a wide range of practicality data of Chinese Culture. The modern ethnic minority heritage, for example Manchuria command copper seal and enameled gilt dragon head stirrup, are the important material evidence in the study of Chinese multi-ethnic groups.
