China's copyright administration has detailed 10 cases involving copyright infringement.

The move aims to give full play to the exemplary and guiding role of typical cases in the field, according to the National Copyright Administration.

In one case, a suspect surnamed Zhao was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for copyright infringement and fined 1.5 million yuan (222,931 U.S. dollars) in Beijing for selling pirated children's books.

More than 3.6 million copies of pirated children's books with an aggregated fixed price of 91 million yuan were seized during the investigation into Zhao's case.
