The Ministry of Public Security has conducted an array of activities to improve safety awareness in middle and primary schools, Monday's China Police Daily reported.

Employing media networks including radio, TV, and social media platforms Sina Weibo and WeChat, police across China arranged themed courses, contests and emergency evacuation drills to equip the young with safety knowledge and target safety loopholes on campus.

The move was part of events to mark the country's 24th safety education day for middle and primary students, which falls on March 25.
