Hong Kong stocks closed up 147.42 points, or 0.51 percent, to 28,959.59 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,760.67 and 29,241.8. Turnover totaled 148.92 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 18.97 billion U.S. dollars).
