Hong Kong stocks closed up 64.82 points, or 0.23 percent, to 28,416.44 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,272.13 and 28,485.83. Turnover totaled 80.13 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 10.21 billion U.S. dollars).
