Investigations showed that violation in unloading regulations had caused a truck explosion in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, local authorities said Sunday.

The blast occurred on Tuesday near Pusadian village of Zhen'an County, leaving seven people dead and 13 others injured.

The truck was loaded with 5.28 tonnes of explosives, which were to be unloaded at a warehouse near the village.

Details of the violation haven't been published yet.

Twelve people remain hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Relevant people have been held accountable, according to the local publicity department.
