Some industrial buildings and facilities belonging China's top alcohol brand Kweichow Moutai were recently added to a national list of architectural heritage.

Ten spirit-distilling facilities, such as a grain store, an alcohol cellar, an ancient well and a mill house, were included on the list, according to the company. Some of the buildings are still in use today.

In 2016, 98 sites were inscribed on the 20th century Chinese architectural heritage list, jointly drafted by the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics and the Architectural Society of China. Earlier this month, a total of 100 sites, including the Moutai facilities, were added on the second edition of the list.

The township of Moutai in southwest China's Guizhou Province, where the company is located, has a long history of distilling liquor. Some of the facilities date back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

The state-owned Moutai distillery was established in 1951. It has gradually grown into a world-leading brand and has been dubbed China's "national liquor."

Officials with the company said the facilities embody Moutai culture which bears witness to the ups and downs of the Chinese alcohol industry throughout history.
