From January to October, the import and export volume of Heilongjiang Province to Russia reached 9.01 billion U.S. dollars, up 20.5 percent over the same period of last year, accounting for 59.2 percent of the total import and export of the province and 13.2 percent of the total import and export volume to Russia. The province and the 62 countries on the "Belt and Road initiative", achieved a total import and export volume of 10.83 billion US dollars, an increase of 19.4%, accounting for 71.2% of the province's total import and export volume. In terms of import and export commodities, there are 3233 varieties of export commodities in Heilongjiang Province and 1,729 varieties of imports.

Import and export of electromechanical products increased substantially from January to October. The province exported 2 billion U.S. dollars of electromechanical products, accounting for 44.2% of the total exports, an increase of 11 percentage points over the same period of last year. Among them, the car exports 780 million US dollars, an increase of 33 times. Import of mechanical and electrical products 1.24 billion US dollars, an increase of 31.7%.

The mode of trade was further optimized, and the processing trade achieved a breakthrough growth. From January to October, the import and export of processing trade hit 1.94 billion U.S. dollars, up 125.2%, accounting for 12.8% of the total import and export value, up 6.1 percentage points from the same period of last year. The export of processing trade hit 1.18 billion U.S. dollars, up 171.9% over the same period of previous year, accounting for 26.2% of the total export value, up 15.7 percentage points from the same period of last year.

Further optimization of business entities, the number of trade entities continue to increase. From January to October, there were 2,222 enterprises with import and export performance in the province, an increase of 49 over the same period of last year. 18 enterprises with over one hundred million U.S. dollars of import and export increased by 5 over the same period of last year. Private enterprises are the most dynamic and export potential business entities, accounting for 54.8% of the province's export share, foreign-funded enterprises accounted for 27.1% of the share of exports.

The layout of the international market was further optimized, with some emerging market exports showing a larger increase. Exports to Belgium increased 15 folds, exports to Pakistan by 27.2 percent, exports to India by 9.5 percent, exports to Mongolia by 123.9 percent, exports by 26.5 percent to the Netherlands, exports to Turkmenistan by 34 times and exports to Spain by 31.7 percent.
