Five Arctic wolf cubs from Serbia arrived at a park in north China's Heilongjiang Province on Wednesday.

The five cubs are six to seven months old. They have been settled at Harbin Polarland. Staff of the park said the wolf cubs will be well-suited to the cold weather in the city.

The cubs will be isolated for around 30 days to avoid introducing outside species, according to the Harbin Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

Visitors can expect to see the five Arctic wolf cubs starting at the end of December.

Harbin Polarland is one of the first parks to bring Arctic wolves to China. Two Arctic wolves, Maya and Haer, which were introduced from Canada to the province in 2006, have become stars of the park.

The park said it is experienced and skilled in raising the animals.

Arctic wolves are an endangered species. They are found in northern Eurasia and northern parts of Canada and Greenland.
