Hong Kong stocks closed up 185.42 points, or 0.62 percent, to 30,003.49 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 29,911.07 and 30,199.69. Turnover totaled 157.40 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 20.15 billion U.S. dollars).
