Hong Kong stocks closed up 302.53 points, or 1.16 percent, to 26,346.17 points on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 26,255.31 and 26,383.76. Turnover totaled 96.28 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 12.33 billion U.S. dollars).
