There were 2017 people transplanting rice seedlings on a 4 hectare paddy field at the same time in Heilongjiang Tonghe county. They inserted seven million rice seedlings during thirteen minutes and twenty-three seconds, which led to the Guinness record for “the largest number of people transplanting rice seedlings at the same time. The oldest participant is 98 years old and the youngest is 13 years old. British Guinness record certification officer was also at the scene to supervise and judge the activity. The previously record is one in which 1215 people used sixteen minutes and twenty seconds to seed three million rice seedling on 2.1 hectare.
