展销会是为了展示产品和技术、拓展渠道、促进销售、传播品牌而进行的一种宣传活动。因此会吸引大批外商进场，询购适合他们公司的产品。面对他们的问题，你能听得懂招架得住吗？  (1)询问产品的制作材料(materials) A： What kind of materials are they made of? 它们(指产品)是用什么材料制作啊？ B：Some are made of a special kind of metal. While some are made of glazed glass. 有些使用一种特殊金属制成的，有些是用釉彩玻璃制成的。 “glazed”是过去分词，表示“上了釉的“，例如：glazed pottery上釉的陶器。但是与玻璃glass搭配时，则是表示“釉彩的”。 “be made of”是某物由……制造而成”(从制成品中可以看出原材料) (2)询问颜色种类，以及是否可定制颜色(custom colors)。 A：Does it come in any other color? The color seems a bit too loud for our customers. I think they prefer something a little quiet. 这种还有其他的颜色么?这些颜色对我们顾客来说太过鲜艳了，我想我们的顾客会偏爱素色。 “loud”和“little quiet”：“loud”是高声的，响亮的意思，用在颜色上则是鲜艳的意思。“little quiet”直译是小点声，安静的意思，用在颜色上则是淡色、素色的意思。 A：Do you do custom color? 你们订做颜色吗？ B：Only part of our products are listed here in the catalogue. In fact, we can supply a wide range of color. 目录上只列了我们部分的产品，其实我们可供应产品颜色有很多。 B：We certainly do custom products. 我们也接受订做的产品。 “custom”做名词时是习惯、惯例、海关等意思。作为形容词则是订做的意思。 (3)询问订购价格(price) A：What is your pricing on them? 他们的价格是多少？ B：As a rule, the larger the order, the lower the price. 按照惯例，买得越多，价格越便宜。 B：We quote CIF thirty dollars per piece. 我们报价是CIF(到岸价) 30美元1个。 B：We quote 400 dollars per one hundred pairs FOB, while 600 dollars CIF. 我们报价是每一百双FOB(离岸价)报价400美元，CIF报价600美元。 由于在展销会外很多时候都是接国际订单，因此从业人员懂得一些外贸条件术语是很重要的。因为这些外贸术语对价格有很大影响。 (4)询问样品信息(sample) A：Will the sample be free for us? 给我们的样品是免费的吗？ B：No, unless you place a trial order. 不是免费的，除非你先试用订。 “Trial order”试订单。很多人会认为样品是免费，其实并不是。在对于一些价值含量高的产品来说，如果样品是免费的话，那花费就会很高。这时候就会有“trial order”出现，来解决这个问题。 (5)询问最新产品(latest products) A：Are there your latest hand-made products? 这些是你们最新的手工产品吗？ B：There are our new products and they go down well both in Japan and South Korea at present. 这些是我们新产品，他们目前在日本和韩国都很走俏。 “latest”最新的。虽然这个词是由“late晚的、迟的”变过来的，可是千万不能认为他们是同一个意思。 |
