A symposium on the 4th China-Russia EXPO and 28th China Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair was held in Beijing on Monday.

Chinese government officials and representatives from foreign embassies attended the event.

Jin Hong, official of the Ministry of Commerce, pointed out in her opening address that the Expo not only contributes to the pragmatic cooperation between China and Russia, but also builds a broad stage for promoting friendship among people and exploring opportunities for common development.

The trade fair and and Expo will be held in Harbin from June 15 to 19.

More than 28 countries and regions have registered to participate, including Russia, Japan, UK, France, New Zealand.
