Polluters in central China's Henan Province may find illegal emissions impossible as there will be eyes almost everywhere.

The province will have inspectors stationed at plants and install cameras to fight air pollution, provincial pollution control authorities said Thursday.

A total of 1,840 inspectors will be stationed at 920 major companies, with another 870 companies monitored online, said an official with the provincial leading group on environmental pollution control.

A surveillance system will be installed by the end of June in the provincial capital of Zhengzhou and Anyang City to monitor air pollution.

In a rare move, China's Ministry of Environmental Protection Wednesday identified the two cities as the origin of the latest round of smog that had shrouded north China since Tuesday.

It accused the Anyang city government of being slow in action or not acting at all concerning air pollution control, and failing to enforce emergency response measures.
