One human infection of H7N9 bird flu has been reported in southwest China's Guizhou Province, local health authorities said on Thursday. The patient, a 61-year-old male in Zunyi City, is receiving treatment in the ICU of a local hospital, according to the provincial health and family planning commission. H7N9 is a bird flu strain first reported to have infected humans in China in March 2013. Infections are most likely occur in winter and spring.  |
