[File photo: baidu.com] On the Chinese mainland, women in Beijing and Men in Shenzhen topped the list for cities with the most young, single people, according to a report of an online dating website. 28-year-old "child women" in Guangdong province and 33-year-old "high quality men" in Beijing were the most popular, reported the website. "Child women" mean well-educated women at the age between 25 and 35. In Guangdong province, 28-year-old women, 159 to 163cm tall, with a bachelor degree are the most popular to marry. "High quality men" sticks to men who are strong, healthy and confident with nice personality and decent salary. In Beijing, 33-year-old men, 175 to 180cm tall, with a bachelor degree and 20,000 RMB (about USD 2876) monthly incomes are the ones that women are most willing to marry. Data from civil affairs authorities showed there being over 200 million single people in 2015. 10 first-tier cities (Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xian, Wuhan, Dongguan and Changsha) have the largest number of young single people, reported Zhenai.com, an online dating website in China. The website also reported that male IT engineers and female shop assistants were the people who have the most difficulty to get married. For singles, blind dates are cited as an important way to meet new people in China. People in Shenzhen go on blind dates the most, followed by Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Changsha. Over half of single men and women want their future half to be able to cook. Men generally want their wives to be beautiful and women want their husbands to be rich, based on the report.
