By 2020, Chinese authorities hope to have e-commerce trade volumes hit 40-trillion yuan, online retail sales of 10 trillion yuan and about 50 million people involved in the industry. Qian Fangli from China's Ministry of Commerce said e-commerce will be integrated into economic activities of all sectors to help promote the establishment of global market of e-commerce. The development of the industry could become a key engine driving growth. It also helps create jobs and improve people's livelihood.Online retail sales through the first 9-months of this year hit 34-trillion yuan, reprenting growth of some 26-percent. |
