![]() A team led by Yuan Longping, known in China as "the father of hybrid rice," have cultivated a brand new variety of rice "Haidao86." It can grow in coastal tidal flats and saline-alkali land. Yuan's team have managed rice test fields in Guangdong, Shandong and Jilin provinces in 2016. The crops have yielded as much as 150 kilograms of rice per mu of farmland with no use of fertilizer and insecticide. (Source: cntv) |
