A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted sea off southeast Taiwan's Taitung County at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday (Beijing Time), said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter is located at 22.78 degrees north latitude and 121.39 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 11 km.
