[Photo: CRIENGLISH.com] In a bid for more transparency, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs becomes the only department to publish its officials' marriage and childbirth status on the ministry's official website among the 25 departments and offices of the State Council. All 12 Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs principal officials, including the minister himself, have made their marriage and childbirth status public online since in 2013. Xinhua News Agency disclosed some senior CPC leaders' personal experience and family status for the first time in 2012. Media reports said Xinhua's disclosure reflected the new leadership style of the Chinese Communist Party. Zhu Lijia, director of the Public Administration Studies at the Chinese Academy of Governance, said the central leadership's action of making their family information public was a manifestation of the development of socialist political civilization. Only when the citizens have a clear understanding of the image of the politicians as a whole could they build trust and better communicate with them easily, he said.
