A trade and investment forum between China and the Philippines is underway in Beijing.

The event has been co-organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Philippines' Department of Trade and Industry.

Visiting Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte has addressed the meeting.

Chinese co-organizers say around 800 politicians, business leaders and company representatives are attending the event.
