[File photo: qq.com] China's first glass skywalk that traverses the surrounding tree tops is to be opened to tourists in the Qinglianggu resort of Beijing's Miyun County during the National Day holidays, according to reports by Legal Evening News on Saturday. A third of the 150-meter-long glass skywalk has nothing but tall trees beneath and surrounding it. It aims to create a feeling of walking among the treetops, according to the report. Resort staff told reporters that the most spectacular parts of the skywalk are the two huge glass observation platforms which are over 5 meters away from the mountain cliff. The report added that the glass skywalk will be freely accessible to tourists by year's end. Tourists can climb the mountain by foot or take a cable car to get to the top and experience the glass skywalk there. ![]() The Qinglianggu resort in Beijing's Miyun County. [File photo: baidu.com]
