Cao Yuan continued China's diving dominance at the Rio Olympics by winning gold in the men's 3m springboard on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old led the six-round final from start to finish, ending with 547.60 points at the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre.

Britain's Jack Laugher took silver with 523.85 points while Germany's Patrick Hausding claimed bronze with 498.90 points.

Russia's Evgenil Kuznetsov was fourth (481.35 points) and the USA's Kristian Ipsen fifth (475.80 points).
