Chinese engineers say the preparation for the launch of the country's first quantum satellite later this month is almost finished.

Dr. Zhu Zhencai, the chief designer of the satellite, says the satellite has been loaded onto the carrier rocket.

"We have completed a set of tests and inspections the satellite was put onto the launch tower. Just a few days ago, we finished the fourth inspection of the launch site, as well as the launch system and measurement and control system."

Space scientists have conducted 20-day-long tests on the satellite after it was delivered to Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China last month.

All indicators for the satellite are said to have met requirements.
