Hangzhou's municipal government has launched the countdown to promote the preparations they're making for the event. Hangzhou CPC chief Zhao Yide says most of the construction projects they've launched for the event are now complete. "The organizing committee has basically finished the construction of the G20 and Business 20 venues, residences of Chinese and foreign leaders, as well as the rebuilding and upgrading of some related venues." More than 6-thousand volunteers from Hangzhou have signed up to help provide services during the meeting in September. World leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Barack Obama will attend this year's meetings in Hangzhou on September 4th and 5th. |
