Chinese search engine Sogou announced Thursday that it has teamed up with Microsoft's Bing to provide Chinese users a gateway to English searches.

The two new features are "Sogou English" and "Sogou Academic."

Before this, internet users in China had limited English sources after Google left the Chinese market in 2012.

Chinese users will now have better access to English content as well as English academic studies and researches from other countries and regions.

CEO of Sogou Wang Xiaochuan says with Sogou English, users can enjoy first-hand professional literature, original news and the latest information.
