Using the service, a number of trucks loaded with goods from Lanzhou City of northwest China's Gansu Province, arrived at the China-Nepal border, in the county of Gyirong in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on Monday. An international freight train that departed from Lanzhou on May 11, later changed over to road transport in Tibet's Xigaze before continuing its journey towards Nepal. The combined transport service named "Lanzhou" will not only shorten the travel time from 45 days to 10 days, but will further promote the rapid growth of related industries in certain regions within the country.
