Vietnam customs officers allegedly clashed with Chinese tourists over the charging of a tip to go through the customs on Monday, according to a Weibo post.

Some officers were said to even wield a stun gun at a mother.

One of the tourists told the media that everyone in their tour group was asked for ten yuan by Vietnam customs officers as a condition for passing through Ho Chi Minh airport.

When a mother in the group refused the request, one of the officers withheld her passport and took away her baby saying they were not allowed through Customs unless she provided 100 yuan.

The Chinese tourists lined up behind her were then asked for 30 yuan to pass through the border. This movie sparked outrage amongst the Chinese tour group, according to the media report.

Due to the clash, the flight to China was delayed for 40 minutes.

The staff of the Chinese Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City said the Consulate is investigating the incident.
