Two pilots have been confirmed dead after a helicopter crashed on Tuesday in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The helicopter bound for Beihai went missing about 20 minutes after it took off from the city of Guilin at around 11 a.m.

The wreckage was found on Wednesday morning in Yongfu County to the southwest of Guilin. Two pilots on board were found dead.

It is said that harsh weather conditions caused the crash.

Guilin General Aviation, the operator of the crashed helicopter, says it is cooperating with local authorities to investigate the fatal accident.

China's civil aviation authority has promised to release the final report, as soon as the investigation is completed.
