Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski on Tuesday, saying China will advance its strategic partnership with Poland.

Li said China attaches great importance to ties with Poland, which developed rapidly in recent years.

China is willing to maintain high-level exchanges with Poland, deepen political mutual trust, align the development strategies of both sides, and push forward exchanges and cooperation in finance, agriculture, culture, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the implementation of Belt and Road initiative, said Li.

Waszczykowski said Poland, which is committed to becoming a gateway for China-Europe cooperation, would like to cooperate with China in areas including politics, the economy, trade and education.

Waszczykowski is here for a five-day official visit that started Saturday at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi.
