A tornado suddenly erupted at a playground of a local primary school in the Guazhou County of northwest China's Gansu Province on Wednesday.

It happened when a sports meet was on the way and swept up and tossed a student on the playground.

The student was immediately taken to hospital and later confirmed suffering from slight injuries in back of the head.
