[Photo: Chinanews.com] Three severe patients were transferred Sunday from Yongshu Jiao of China's Nansha Islands to Sanya, in Hainan Province by Chinese military aircraft. The three are workers at construction sites on islands and cliffs in the South China Sea. One's life is in danger after sudden gastrointestinal bleeding, and the other two were suffering from a lumbar vertebra fracture and suspected appendicitis respectively. Due to lack of medical equipment at the construction sites and the long sea transportation that patients periods, the patients were taken to a hospital in Sanya by naval aircraft.
