China has questioned the findings of a United States human rights report, and has cautioned against using the issue to interfere in China's domestic affairs. The U.S. State Department annual report on global human rights released on Wednesday, makes reference to China and at several other countries. Foreign Ministry spokesman, Lu Kang, said at a regular news briefing, that the US 'human rights report' overlooked China's human rights achievements. "It is not the first time that the United States interfere in other country's internal affairs through the human rights issue. The report overlooks China's human rights achievements. Attempts to politicize the issue of human rights to disrupt China's stability and development will prove to be futile." Lu added China was willing to have candid exchanges with other countries on the issue, and work together to improve human rights, but said countries should not use the issue of human rights to interfere in the internal affairs of others. |
