Uber is launching a motorbike taxi service in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In launching the "UberMotor" service, the taxi-hailing app aims to provide residents with cheap and reliable transportation.

The base fare for each Uber motor rides is set at 8 US cents.

Uber is likely to face fierce competition with its local rivals Go-Jek and Grab.

Both Go-Jek and Grab have been touting themselves as the biggest motorbike taxi provider in Indonesia.
