[Photo: Weibo.com] A local teahouse in Shanghai has been fined for 500 thousand yuan, or over 77 thousand U.S. dollars, and its business license also revoked after it was accused of ripping off its customers. The main shareholder and a "bait" responsible for luring consumers have also been taken into custody for disturbing public order. According to a weibo post, 2 Japanese students were extorted in the Yuyuan Teahouse last Wednesday. They were lured into the teahouse by 3 "baits" for a dinner invitation and when their "teatime" ended, the total cost came to over 2100 yuan, over 320 U.S. dollars. When the students came to pay the bill, they were informed that the tea costs 48 yuan per sip, and were forced to hand over all the money they had - around 1000 Yuan. The students reported the incident to the police, and were refunded their money back a day later.
