[Photo: guancha.cn] Xinjiang authorities have issued the first provincial administrative rules regarding rewards for providing clues of terrorist crimes on Monday. It is the first-ever administrative regulation on a provincial level in China. According to the rules, people who report or provide core information on terrorist plots will be awarded 200 thousand yuan to 5 million yuan. Citizens are advised to do this through the official website of Xinjiang Police or call 110. According to guancha.cn, the police in many Chinese cities including Beijing, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Chengdu have issued their own incentive measures for information regarding terrorism. Beijing has issued a three-level incentive measure, with rewards ranging from 1000 yuan to maximum at least 40 thousand yuan. Citizens in Beijing are also able to report criminal information through sending messages to an official weibo account for the Beijing Police, "Ping An Beijing" or "Safe Beijing" in English. The highest reward for someone who gives information regarding these criteria is up to 500 thousand yuan in places like, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Wuhan and Chengdu.
