Xian'Er is 60-centimeters tall, and is able to hold conversations with people, and can even understand instructions and follow orders. He was developed by artificial intelligence experts and monks at the Longquan Monastery in Beijing. The Monastery has a history of embracing new technology to spread its teachings. Dressed in yellow robes, the little robot monk can also recite Buddhist texts and doctrine. If he doesn't know the answer to your question, he will say, "Hold on, I will ask my Master". Xian'Er was created in October of last year, and since then has attracted many fans in person and online, including some prospective buyers. As yet, though, he is one of a kind.
