[Photo: qq.com] The police are investigating the violent harassment of a young girl at a hotel in the Chaoyang district of eastern Beijing. The girl was staying at the Heyi Hotel, part of the Homeinns Hotel Group, during the Qing Ming Tomb Sweeping holiday. According to her evidence to the police, two days after checking in, a stranger approached her by the elevator as she was looking for her room keycard. The man asked her which room she was staying in. The man then tried to drag her violently into the corridor. Eventually, the girl's screams attracted the attention of other guests and staff who intervened. The attacker then fled the scene. According to local police, the girl was unharmed physically, and nothing was stolen. They suspect the attacker may have been drunk. The girl has asked for an apology from the hotel, but none has been forthcoming. She says the hotel management has not been in contact with her about the incident. Responding to the attack, the Homeinns Hotel Group, has pledged to thoroughly investigate the case along with the local public security authorities.
