The Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay an official visit to Myanmar from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Wang is visiting at the invitation of Myanmar's new Foreign Minister, Aung San Suu Kyi.

Aung San Suu Kyi was initially given four portfolios in the new government, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the President's Office.

Myanmar's new President Htin Kyaw has submitted a proposal to the Union Parliament, taking two other portfolios away from Suu Kyi - the positions of Minister of Education and Minister of Electric Power and Energy.
