    At the on-going Bo'ao Forum for Asia, trade and economic relations between the US and China, the two largest economies in the world, are among the topics that have gathered the most attention from international leaders and industry insiders.

    Q1 You are an American economist, how do you view the importance of US-China trade relations in terms of its significance for the whole Asia Pacific?

    Q2 During Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the US last September, both him and Obama addressed the BIT issue. After the visit, a separate White House fact sheet on economic relations?said there had been "positive progress" on the negotiations, with "improved negative list proposals in September." How would you evaluate the current progress on BIT negotiations between the two?

    Q3 What are the concerns from domestically for the US for reaching the Treaty?

    Q4 Talking about the multi-lateral organizations that have been initiated by China and the US, TPP by the US, AIIB and the New Development Bank by China, in a world where China is expected to take on more responsibilities, how do you view the competition between the US and China?
