[Photo: baidu.com] Plans are reportedly being worked on to establish duty-free shops at border crossings in Tibet. Regional authorities have submitted the proposal to the central government, which is said to be mulling it over for approval. The suggestion of duty-free shops along the border comes as Nepal's Prime Minister, KP Oli, continues a visit to China. Cross-border trade in Tibet is the life-blood of communities along the southwestern Chinese border. Around 5-billion US dollars worth of foreign trade conducted through Tibet over the past year was done at the border crossings.
